Batting: Left hand batsman

A left-hand batsman with as much ability to build an innings as to accelerate from the outset, Qaasim Adams began his career in the Cape, where he came to the fore in the 2011-12 summer. Adams finished third on the run-charts in the provincial first-class competition with 1006 runs for Western Province at 52.94.

He played irregularly but always showed promise and in a bid to get him more game time, he was loaned to the Lions in the 2015-16 season. Adams finished that summer fourth among the franchise competition’s first-class run-scorers.

Adams made his debut for the South Africa A team in January 2016, when he was selected in a 50-over XI to play England. He was also part of the A squad that toured Zimbabwe and Australia in July-August 2016.
